Accepting these terms

Stackmerit ("we", "us") publishes independent reviews and comparisons at stackmerit.com. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What Stackmerit is, and isn't

Everything here is editorial and informational. We research SEO, hosting, and email software and give our opinion, scored on a fixed rubric. That opinion is not professional, legal, financial, or technical advice, and it isn't a substitute for your own testing. Software prices, plans, limits, and features change often; always confirm the current details with the vendor before you buy.

Accuracy, and no warranty

We work hard to be accurate, we attribute figures to their source, and we correct confirmed errors quickly (see our contact page to report one). Even so, the site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide our rankings. This relationship is set out in full on our affiliate disclosure page, which forms part of these terms.

Third-party sites

The site links to vendors and other third parties we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, products, pricing, or privacy practices. Following an outbound link is at your own risk, and the third party's own terms and policies apply once you leave Stackmerit.

Intellectual property

The writing, structure, scoring, and design on Stackmerit are our work and are protected by copyright. You're welcome to link to us and to quote a short passage with attribution. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or resell our content wholesale, or use it to train models or build a competing dataset, without our written permission. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the products we discuss.

Acceptable use

Please don't attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, scrape it at a scale that degrades service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may restrict access that threatens the site's security or availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Stackmerit and anyone involved in producing the site won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content, including any decision you make about buying or using a third-party product.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site evolves. When we do, we'll revise the effective date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable at the site operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it directly.
