Mangools is a cheap, genuinely usable keyword tool for solo operators and small teams, and it is not an Ahrefs or Semrush replacement for technical audits or deep competitor work. Five tools ship as one bundle from $30.50 a month, or $18.85 a month billed annually. KWFinder is the reason to buy it; the data ceilings are the reason you outgrow it.
Mangools pricing: what it costs in 2026
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (billed yearly) | Keyword lookups | SERP lookups | Tracked keywords | Backlink rows | Site lookups | Extra seats |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $30.50/mo | $18.85/mo ($226.20/yr) | 100/day | 100/day | 200 | 100k/mo | 20/day | 1, no extra seats |
| Premium | $40.50/mo | $26.35/mo ($316.20/yr) | 500/day | 500/day | 700 | 500k/mo | 70/day | 1, plus up to 3 extra |
| Agency | $70.50/mo | $48.85/mo ($586.20/yr) | 1,200/day | 1,200/day | 1,500 | 1.2M/mo | 150/day | 1, plus up to 5 extra |
Every tier also bundles AI Search Watcher PRO (500 monitored prompts, tracking brand mentions across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and more), the same category of feature the big platforms sell as a separate paid add-on. The annual and monthly gap is real: Basic is $18.85 a month on the yearly plan against $30.50 a month paid monthly, so the yearly commitment is most of the value.
Strengths
- KWFinder is one of the most pleasant keyword tools to actually use
- Five tools in one bundle from $30.50 a month, well under Semrush or Ahrefs
- Free plan with no card and no expiry
- AI Search Watcher is bundled into every tier, not a paid add-on
Watch-outs
- Backlink data is resold from Majestic, not a crawler Mangools runs
- Lookup limits reset on a rolling 24-hour clock, not daily at midnight
- Rank tracking updates weekly unless you pay for the Agency tier
- No deep site audit or competitor analysis for real agency work
What Mangools is good at
KWFinder is the reason the bundle exists. It is arguably the most pleasant keyword research tool on the market: you type a seed term, and it returns volume, a keyword difficulty score and a clean SERP breakdown without the wall of panels a heavier platform throws at you. The difficulty score is reliable enough to build a content calendar on, which is the whole job for most solo sites.
The price is the other half of the case. Five tools for $30.50 a month, or $18.85 a month billed annually, sits well below where Semrush and Ahrefs start, and every tier now bundles AI Search Watcher for tracking brand mentions in AI answers, a feature the big platforms sell as a separate add-on. The free plan is genuinely free, with no card and no expiry, so you can see the interface before you pay anything.
The gotchas that bite after you pay
These are the facts we dug out of Mangools' own pricing page and FAQ, and they are the reason to read this before subscribing.
The daily limits reset on a rolling clock, not at midnight. Your 100, 500 or 1,200 lookups refresh 24 hours after your first request of the day, so a heavy research session at 4pm sets your reset to 4pm the next day. Push hard in the afternoon and a second session that evening can hit the wall before the allowance rolls over.
LinkMiner's backlink data is not Mangools' own. It comes from Majestic: the Fresh Index for the counts, and Fresh plus Historical merged for the link list. Mangools does not run a crawler, so LinkMiner is only as current and complete as Majestic's index, which matters if backlink research is the actual job.
Rank tracking updates once a week on Basic and Premium. Daily updates in SERPWatcher are an Agency-only feature, so on the cheaper plans you are reading week-old positions. Worse, tracking one keyword on both mobile and desktop counts as two keywords against your limit, which quietly halves the allowance for anyone who cares about mobile: Basic's 200 tracked keywords becomes 100 real terms.
Search volume figures run about a month behind, a function of the data-provider pipeline, so treat them as a recent trend rather than this week's demand. And the safety net is short: the money-back guarantee is 48 hours, not the 14 or 30 days common elsewhere, and it does not apply to two consecutive subscriptions, so decide fast and a resubscribe is final.
One structural note that is a feature, not a trap: you cannot buy the five tools separately. Mangools says this is architectural, because KWFinder's difficulty score is computed from SERPChecker data, so the tools depend on each other. And the old Entry plan is gone from the pricing page, so the cheapest tier you can actually buy is Basic at $30.50 a month. Every other comparison still quoting a $29-a-month Entry plan is pricing a tier Mangools no longer sells.
Who should buy it
Buy Mangools if you are a solo operator, a blogger or a small team who wants fast keyword research and basic rank tracking at the lowest price, and you can live with weekly rank updates and Majestic-sourced backlinks. Skip it if you run technical audits, need daily rank data on a budget plan, or lean on large keyword and backlink datasets: for that, our Semrush review and our guide to the best SEO tools make the case for paying more, and our Semrush and Mangools side by side shows exactly what the extra spend buys. How we score these reviews
We score every SEO tool on the same five-part rubric: data quality, feature depth, usability, value and support. This review is research-based, drawing on Mangools' own published pricing and documentation and on publicly available user reviews, rather than first-hand testing, so the score stays gated as in testing until a verified trial backs it. The prices here were read directly from mangools.com on 14 July 2026. You can read the full methodology and who writes these on our about page.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Mangools cost?
Mangools has three paid tiers, billed monthly or annually. Basic is $30.50 a month, or $18.85 a month billed annually. Premium is $40.50 a month ($26.35 a month annually) and Agency is $70.50 a month ($48.85 a month annually). Annual billing saves roughly a third against monthly, more on the cheaper tiers. There is also a free plan that needs no card and does not expire, plus a 48-hour money-back guarantee.
Does Mangools still have an Entry plan?
No. Mangools' pricing page now shows three paid tiers: Basic, Premium and Agency. The cheapest you can buy is Basic at $30.50 a month, or $18.85 a month billed annually. Older comparisons that quote a fourth Entry plan around $29 a month are citing a tier that is no longer on the pricing page.
Can I buy KWFinder on its own?
No. Mangools sells its five tools, KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner and SiteProfiler, only as one subscription. Mangools says this is by design rather than an upsell: KWFinder's keyword difficulty score is computed from SERPChecker data, so the tools depend on one another. Every plan includes all five.
Is the Mangools free plan really free?
Yes. The free plan needs no credit card and does not expire, and Mangools states there is no gimmick. It caps how many lookups you get each day, so it suits trying the tools or very light use, but regular keyword research needs a paid tier.
How do Mangools' daily limits work?
Each paid tier gives a set number of keyword and SERP lookups per 24 hours: 100 a day on Basic, 500 a day on Premium and 1,200 a day on Agency. The limit refreshes on a rolling 24-hour clock that starts at your first request, not at midnight, so a heavy afternoon session sets your reset to that same time the next day.
How does Mangools compare to Semrush and Ahrefs?
Mangools is the cheap, approachable option, from $30.50 a month against about $140 a month for Semrush's entry plan and about $129 a month for Ahrefs Lite on their 2026 pricing pages. It is a keyword research and rank-tracking tool for solo operators and small teams, not a replacement for Semrush or Ahrefs on technical audits, large keyword databases or deep competitor research. Its backlink data is resold from Majestic rather than a crawler Mangools runs.
